the problem with showing pictures is that to some people it looks like a nauseating display of “perfect family,” I can assure you I chose not the easy road in marriage, as I am wont to do. However, perhaps this proclivity to difficulty has made me that much more appreciative of the small things.

The cake made to order, chocolate with vanilla frosting decorated with oreo’s, gummy worms and gummy bears. Can you tell I am not an expert cake maker?
I can count on one fist the number of people in that room who cared about my cake baking skills, fortunately.
We all went to the park and played and before that there were some other celebrations including going to Portland and taking the trolley all over the place.
And then, when everyone goes to bed, I do this. It brings me great joy.
