All this useless beauty

I mentioned earlier that it was cold at our house.  I think it’s cold almost everywhere stateside now, but here is how it is here.  This one was taken by J.  Our house behind our japanese maple.

I like how orange the sky looks.  This photo makes me feel like we live in some very beautiful place…I suppose we do, relatively speaking.

This tree makes some nice light pink flowers but I am still trying to figure out what kind of tree it is.

I like how gently the snow lays on this fuzzy little bud.  It reminds me of kissing Sylvie’s pillow cheeks.

The sun going down at what, 4:30?  Sun peeking, “Hey, look!  I’m here!  Aww, yer all frozen.”

If nothing else is going on, the sky can often be counted on  for a little drama.

This guys apples fall all over the street and it just drives me bananas to see them going to waste.  He never prunes, and he never picks his fruit trees.  I was going to make some applesauce out of them, but when a friend referred to them as the apples they feed pigs, I lost heart.  Aside from that, it is nice to see some color out there.  Against the snow, these mealy little yeller apples almost look kinda nice.

The ice gave this bud a new purpose.

Our street, in white.

Let’s drink! Aw.  Maybe not.

And she stays inside and looks cute.   That’s her job.  Pink, soft and fluffy.

Actually she is still just trying to get her hands from having a mind of their own.

Love these pics! The ones of Sylvie (those chubby little bodies are too precious) and of the water hose are the BEST!
