What to do with all that turkey?

Sonoma White Chili

I think this recipe is intended to be healthy. but if you are like us, you just want it to taste good.  Garnish it with some Jack cheese and/or sour cream, avocados, tomatoes and green onion and serve it with a salad and quesadillas or tortilla chips.  My husband devours this.  We got this from allrecipes.com, which we use frequently.  However, it is altered ever so slightly to make it have less stuff we don’t like (chemicals) and more that we do like (flavor).

12 to 16 ounces of turkey meat (Chopped and cooked)

1 chopped onion

2 to 3 cloves of garlic chopped

1 T cumin

2 cans (drained and rinsed) cannelli beans

4 ounce can fire roasted diced chilis

2 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

4 cups of turkey or chicken broth

1 to 2 T cornstarch

In a large pan, mix the turkey, onion and garlic with about a 1/2 cup broth and cook for about 5 to 6 minutes on med high heat, stirring.  Add the rest of the broth, the beans, the chilis, cumin, salt and pepper.  Stir and allow to cook for about 30 minutes.  Mix the corn starch 1 tablespoon at a time with a small amount of broth.  Add it slowly to the chili stirring to thicken.   After you have stirred it to its desired thickness, garnish and serve.
